Permanent funds

The Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children has been providing support for children with a vision or hearing impairment for over 140 years.

RIDBC relies heavily on community support to continue its programs – often involving an 18-year commitment to a child and family.

Economic times will not always be so buoyant, and the needs of deaf children and blind children don’t just go away.

Permanent funds are a way of helping RIDBC to establish a solid funding base to ensure ongoing support for its important work.

Many donors ask that their funds be invested in perpetuity, with the investment returns then used to fund RIDBC programs. The capital is permanently retained in secure diversified investments.

Most importantly, your gift will go on forever, providing assistance to children with vision or hearing loss. You can ensure that your support of RIDBC's work continues in perpetuity.

You also have the opportunity to discuss with RIDBC your preferences for which parts of its work benefit from your gift, and your donation can be tax deductible.

To discuss the possibility of establishing a permanent fund, please contact our Manager, Community Relations and Fundraising on (02) 9871 1233.
