Events and Community

RIDBC Hunter relies greatly on support from the community to be able to continue to deliver our life-changing programs.

We believe that there is no event too big or small because every cent makes a difference! We are happy to chat with you about any ideas you might have and assist you in getting your fundraising event off the ground.

You can participate in a public event, or hold your own in support of RIDBC. You might:

  • Raise funds through an external event like city to surf or hill to harbour
  • Hold your own event - high tea, BBQ at work, corporate fun day, market day
  • Invite us to be the recipients an event you’re already running, such as your corporate golf day.

By becoming a community fundraiser for RIDBC your generous support will assist RIDBC to continue to provide vital services to children who have vision or hearing loss.

Kick 4 A Cause

In 2015, the inaugural RIDBC Kick 4 A Cause was launched on 16 October 2015, at FootballFIVES, Speers Point.

Local Hunter organisations battled it out for the ultimate goal on the soccer field — to be the first name on the perpetual RIDBC Kick 4 A Cause trophy. Mullane’s Group took out the honor.

RIDBC Kick 4 A Cause provided a great opportunity for local businesses to invite their staff and clients to this fun, first time sporting event.

The event raised a smashing $25,000 and gave locals the opportunity to show their support and to help RIDBC Hunter to continue to deliver life-changing programs to children and adults with vision or hearing loss in the Hunter region.
