Generally, RIDBC assists students if their hearing threshold is at 60db or greater in the better ear.
However, RIDBC assesses each child individually, particularly if more than one disability is involved.
Young children with mild/moderate hearing impairment (21-59 db) may be admitted under certain conditions.
