RIDBC welcomes secondary students wanting to do work experience and community service, including those with vision or hearing impairment. Students can experience a variety of work situations, including:
- Preschool assisting
- Classroom assisting at Alice Betteridge School
- Librarianship
- Speech pathology
- Occupational therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Public Relations/Marketing/Fundraising
- IT (computers)
- Facilities maintenance
- Accounts
- Reception/switch
