The 2016 RIDBC Book, Toy and Music Fair is just around the corner and RIDBC is calling on corporate and personal donations of quality books, toys, records, CDs and DVDs to help raise funds to support the children and adults with vision or hearing loss supported by RIDBC.

"The busy preparations of sorting, classifying, pricing and packing thousands of excellent quality fiction and specialist books and collectables has commenced," said RIDBC Committees & Events Executive, Kaye Bailey.

"Without the hard work of our dedicated team of volunteers and the generous donations by you, our community and our corporate partners, the success of our annual RIDBC Book, Toy and Music Fair would not be possible."

The three day fair will take place on the 8 – 10 April from 8am – 3pm and is supported by RIDBC Abstract Committee and Book, Toy and Music Fair Committee.

West Pennant Hills resident, Philippa Manton and head of RIDBC Book, Toy and Music Fair volunteer committee tells us why she loves to get involved every year.

“I started volunteering for RIDBC in 2008 when a good friend of mine asked me to help with the books for the annual Book, Toy and Music Fair," said Philippa.

“I was keen to do some volunteer work and as I am an avid reader with a love of books, this sounded like something I would enjoy. We have a fabulous team who work very hard every year to make this event possible, while supporting the great work RIDBC do and also making friends for life along the way.

Whether you are an avid baker in search of some recipe books, a history enthusiast, a lover of romance novels or a fiction fanatic, be sure to save the date for one of Sydney's loved book fairs, with all proceeds raised supporting the children and adults with vision or hearing loss supported by RIDBC.
