Students at the RIDBC Thomas Pattison School (A school for Bilingual Deaf Children) recently signed up to be a part of Count Us In, an initiative of the Music Council of Australia for the promotion of music in schools nationally.
On 4 August 2010 at 11:00am, over 850 participating schools (more than 500,000 children) all over Australia were involved in a simultaneous performance of the initiative's musical arrangement, 'Come Play Your Part' written by well known Australian conductor/musician, John Foreman. As part of its involvement in this initiative, the RIDBC Thomas Pattison School (A school for Bilingual Deaf Children) was invited to make of a video celebrating their involvement and was also invited to perform at the official ceremony for this event, at the Sydney Opera House, on 2 September 2010.
