Ling Consortium Membership
The Ling Consotium is a working group of international listening and spoken language professionals dedicated to promoting the principles and practices of Daniel Ling, a pioneer of auditory-verbal practice. Members of the consortium are working on a range of projects designed to promote listening and spoken language to children with hearing loss thati include or have been influenced by Ling's concepts and approaches.
The Consortium invites applications from new members who believe that they can contribute to a current or new project. The Consortium meets montly or so during the academic year on a web-based conferencing platform. We have a steering committee and sub-committee/ working group that members may join to adress particular projects.
Some current active projects:
- Identifying adaptations of Ling tools into other language systems (PLE, Ling Six Sound Test)
- Video of use with parents and professionas, and any research being conducted
- Identifying usable teaching moments of auditory-verbal learning that could be poste on the Ling website
- Translation of Ling writigs or writings by others on topis in listening, speech and spoken language.
