The RIDBC Early Learning Program is available for children aged 0-6 years who have impaired vision and hearing (including those with additional disabilities).
The RIDBC Early Learning team works with families to design, develop and implement an individual program for each child.
RIDBC Early Learning Programs are based at:
- Nepean (Penrith)
- North Rocks (Sydney)
- Campbelltown
- Central Coast (Ourimbah)
- Newcastle
- Narrabeen (Sydney)
- Across Australia through our RIDBC Teleschool.
The program can include a mix of any of the following services:
- Assessment and planning – determining the future needs of each child
- RIDBC Jim Patrick Audiology Centre
- RIDBC Cochlear Implant Educational Support Service
- RIDBC VisionEd's Low Vision Clinic
- Centre-based visits, giving parents individual time with our team of special educators and therapists
- Home-based visits
- Playgroups – fun learning experiences for both children and parents
- Parent support and learning groups
- Therapy services.
The RIDBC Dorothy Paul Family Resource Centre and the RIDBC Welwyn Centre both have toys, books and other resources available to borrow.
