Specialist support

RIDBC employs a team of special educators/consultants who support school-aged children with hearing impairment enrolled in mainstream schools. They:

  • Ensure each student receives in-class assistance and individual tuition when necessary
  • Assist in the use of hearing aids and FM transmitter/receiver systems
  • Take notes
  • Advise classroom teachers and students, about hearing impairment
  • Regularly liaise with parents and schools.
