RIDBC Teleschool Conference

Access Across Australia: Technology Connects Families to Services

The Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) is pleased to present the inaugural RIDBC Teleschool Conference. In 2004, RIDBC Teleschool was funded as an Invest to Grow project through the Stronger Families and Communities Strategy (SFCS). SFCS is an Australian Government initiative giving families, their children and communities the opportunity to build a better future. RIDBC Teleschool is a unique program that uses cutting edge technology to deliver high-quality services to families living in rural and regional Australia.

The inaugural conference, Access Across Australia: Technology Connects Families to Services, focuses on the best practice methodology developed by RIDBC Teleschool to deliver unprecedented support to families living in remote areas of Australia. The conference will illustrate the key components for setting up a remotely accessible service and provide opportunities for participants to explore videoconferencing technology and multimedia resources. The conference is suitable for anyone interested in utilizing distance service delivery and disseminating support to a wider segment of the population. This includes practitioners working in health, education, training, rehabilitation, and disabilities.
