How it works

RIDBC Teleschool services are delivered via:

  • Videoconferencing
  • Telephone
  • Email
  • Written correspondence (which may include lesson plans, information sheets, reports, newsletters)
  • Videos
  • Fax
  • Visits to North Rocks campus (some financial support for travel to Sydney and overnight accommodation is available)

Your child will be allocated a specialist such as a teacher of the deaf or blind, occupational therapist or speech pathologist. You can choose the ways in which you would like the service delivered.

We will:

  • Include you in all decisions about your service
  • Collaborate with other service providers who may be seeing your child
  • Work in a family-friendly manner (taking into consideration other issues and concerns you are facing)
  • Develop an individualised program responsive to your child's needs and your family's priorities
  • Provide a responsive, regular service
