Some of the resources we have available for parents are:
Library – RIDBC Teleschool has a collection of children's books and parent information books available for loan
Toy library – We have a collection of toys appropriate for children with vision or hearing impairment, which may help your child's development. These are available for short term loan.
Newsletter – We send a newsletter to all RIDBC Teleschool families, with lots of information and opportunities for families to share pictures, stories about different experiences or milestones in their child's life
Parent meetings – These are held throughout the year to help you develop your knowledge. Remote families can access these via videoconference or teleconference.
Parent to parent – Opportunities to meet and talk with other parents are arranged on request. Otherwise meetings are arranged during a visit to RIDBC’s Sydney campus or via telephone or videoconference.
Access to highly specialised professionals – Opportunities to meet via videoconference with highly specialised professionals including an orthoptist, speech pathologist, adaptive technology consultant, educational psychologist, audiologist or cochlear implant co-ordinator.
