RIDBC Matilda Rose Centre

RIDBC Matilda Rose Centre provides an environment in which hearing impaired children, including those with additional needs, and their families, receive specialised, integrated and intensive programs to optimise listening, relating and communicating. The Centre is staffed by an experienced transdisciplinary team including special educators,speech and language pathologists, audiologists, an occupational therapist and physiotherapist.

Services at RIDBC Matilda Rose Centre include:

  • One-on-one, individualized sessions in collaboration with parents/care-givers
  • Small, structured group sessions
  • Preparation, transition and support to pre-school, school or other educational placements
  • Cochlear implant support
  • Parent education
  • Ongoing comprehensive assessment of each child’s and family’s needs. This includes audiological, orthoptic, speech and occupational therapy and physiotherapy

Who can use the service?

All infants and children diagnosed with a significant hearing loss can apply for the service.

The Centre is located within easy walking distance of the Bondi Junction shopping precinct and Bondi Junction Rail and Bus terminus.
